SNCC FOUNDED
The Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee was a civil rights activist group created in 1960. It was founded by a woman named Ella Baker. The groups goal was racial and economic equality for blacks. Their ideas consisted of getting things done without any violence. Their ability to achieve things without violence got them national attention, and they were very successful.
