BOMBING OF 16th STREET BAPTIST CHURCH
On September 15,1963 a white male was seen putting a box under the steps of the the 16th street baptist church in Birmingham, Alabama. This church was where many important civil rights leaders met at times. A little while after, a bomb exploded killing four black females who were at sunday school, and several others were hurt by the explosion. It was then discovered that the plan to bomb the church was planned by the KKK, and the man who placed the bomb there was faced with prison and several charges.
